CHEMS PHA Events

7 PHA ranges x 16 DVPS steps --> 112 cells

For each event two 16-bit words --> 32 bits:

Energy: 10 bits
TOF: 10 bits
SDD id: 2 bits
Start MCP id: 2 bits
Range: 3 bits
DVPS step: 5 bits

Organized in a basis of: 6 PHA events/cell x 112 cells x 32 bits/event --> 21504 bits
(6 PHA events/cell on the average, out of 42 available --> 18.4 kbytes allocated memo.)
transmitted once per energy spectrum (86.25 x for nominal Pspin)
:
249.3 bits/s

Note:  Eventual variations of the s/c rotation period during Spinning Mode will be taken into account by adjusting the 6 PHA events/cell number, so as to maintain an approximately constant bit rate for CHEMS.

CHEMS Basic Rates

One basic rate per PHA range per DVPS step

7 ranges x 8 bits/range transmitted once per DVPS step (5.391 s for nominal Pspin)
:
10.4 bits/s
